Real Madrid has endured a month to forget. November has been particularly difficult for the team, and there is a clear explanation behind it. According to a detailed report published by Marca, Xabi Alonso’s squad has suffered thirteen injuries in the last thirty-one days. This alarming figure has affected the club’s performance and may be one of the reasons behind their disappointing results.

Since the start of November, Real Madrid has played seven matches. During this stretch, the team recorded only one loss but also three draws and just three wins. All of this has unfolded while Xabi Alonso has been losing a significant portion of his squad to injuries, a situation that coincides with the team’s poorest run of form so far this season.

From the beginning of the campaign in August until the end of October, Real Madrid registered a total of thirteen injuries, as highlighted by Marca. Except for Camavinga, Rüdiger, Trent, and Carvajal, most of those were minor setbacks with short recovery times. This means that the number of injuries suffered in November matches the total from the entire August to October period. Over the past month, Xabi Alonso has been without enough key players to form a fully competitive starting eleven, according to the same publication. The list includes Courtois, Trent, Militao, Alaba, Huijsen, Mendy, Tchouaméni, Camavinga, Valverde, Mastantuono, and Mbappé.
