The Santiago Bernabéu crowd voiced their displeasure at recent refereeing decisions during Sunday’s match. When the teams posed with a Toblerone-shaped banner promoting respect for referees, the stadium erupted in a loud whistle, followed by chants of “Corruption in the Federation.”
This wasn’t the only protest from Real Madrid fans over the weekend. Another chant was directed at LaLiga president Javier Tebas, with supporters chanting, “We have to pirate, we have to pirate, we have to pirate, so that Tebas stops stealing from us,” resonating through the Bernabéu.
