Real Madrid suffered a disappointing defeat to La Laguna Tenerife in the opening game of their Liga ACB quarter-final series at the Movistar Arena and now face a must-win situation to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The home side controlled large stretches of the contest and appeared on course for victory after building a seven-point lead with just 53 seconds remaining.
However, La Laguna Tenerife produced a dramatic late comeback, knocking down three consecutive three-pointers, including the game-winning shot with four seconds left on the clock, to snatch victory and take the lead in the series.
Andrés Feliz was Real Madrid's standout performer, finishing with 14 points and an efficiency rating of 18.
The game also marked the official debut of Mady Sissoko, who made his first appearance for the club following his recent arrival.
