Real Madrid will continue their preseason preparations with a behind-closed-doors friendly against Alcorcón this Friday at Real Madrid City.
The match will mark José Mourinho's first game since returning to the club and will feature the players who have been training at Valdebebas since preseason began on July 13.
Several first-team players are expected to be involved, including Andriy Lunin, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Raúl Asencio, Dean Huijsen, Álvaro Carreras, Eduardo Camavinga, Franco Mastantuono and Gonzalo García. Arda Güler is also expected to make a brief appearance despite only returning to training two days ago.
The friendly will also give Mourinho his first opportunity to closely assess the 16 academy players who have been training with the senior squad since day one of preseason.
Those youngsters are César Palacios, Joan Martínez, Cestero, Fran González, Mestre, Valde, Lamini Fati, Pol Fortuny, Roberto Martín, Jacobo Ortega, Lezcano, Melvin, Alexis Ciria, Gabri Valero, Lacosta and Cherif Fofana.
The club has high hopes for this generation of academy talents, with many regarded internally as one of the strongest groups to emerge from La Fábrica in recent years.
