Real Madrid continue to secure their defensive future. Following the signing of Dean Huijsen until 2030, the club has now extended Raúl Asencio’s contract until June 30, 2031. The renewal includes a significant salary increase and a staggering €1 billion release clause, reflecting both the club’s faith in his potential and his breakout season.
According to Transfermarkt, Asencio’s market value now stands at €40 million, based on the most recent update.
The 22-year-old made 23 LaLiga appearances for the first team in the 2024–25 campaign, starting 18 times and totaling 1,671 minutes. He made his debut on November 9, 2024, in a 4–0 victory over Osasuna, where he impressed with a brilliant assist to Jude Bellingham. His first start came two weeks later, on November 24, in a 3–0 win against Leganés.
Across all competitions — including LaLiga, the Champions League, the Copa del Rey, and the Intercontinental Cup — Asencio played 42 matches and logged over 3,000 minutes, consistently delivering high-level performances that have earned him the club’s long-term trust.
