Real Madrid secured an important 92–84 victory over Virtus Bologna in Round 30 of the EuroLeague, continuing their excellent run at home. The team has now recorded 10 consecutive wins in front of their fans, bringing their total to 14 victories on home court this season.
The game, however, was far from straightforward. Scariolo’s side controlled large stretches of the match and even built leads of up to 11 points. Virtus Bologna fought back in the final quarter and managed to level the score, setting up a tense finish.
In the decisive moments, Real Madrid responded with authority. The team produced a stunning 17–5 run in the final three minutes to pull away and seal the win.
Walter Tavares was dominant with 14 points, five blocks, and a performance rating of 22, while Mario Hezonja led the scoring with 19 points and also finished with a performance rating of 22.
