Real Madrid is already exploring options to replace Dani Carvajal following the confirmation of his departure, marking the end of an era for the club’s right-back position.

Carvajal’s exit closes a historic chapter for the club, as he was the last active player from the generation that won three consecutive European Cups. With his departure, Real Madrid are now assessing both internal and external solutions to strengthen the position.

One of the leading candidates from within the academy is Jesús Fortea. The 19-year-old has yet to make his official debut for the first team, although he has already been included in several matchday squads. He has stood out for Real Madrid Castilla, playing an important role in the UEFA Youth League and helping the team reach strong results in Premier League International Cup.

Another option being considered is David Jiménez. The 22-year-old right-back has already featured for the first team, making appearances in both the league and the Copa del Rey. Under coaches such as Xabi Alonso and Álvaro Arbeloa, he has gained valuable experience and continues to develop within the club’s structure.

In addition to his senior involvement, Jiménez has been productive with Castilla, registering nine assists in domestic and youth competitions.

With both Fortea and Jiménez showing strong development, Real Madrid may look to solve the right-back position internally through La Fábrica rather than entering the transfer market.
