Real Madrid have improved their contract offer to Vinicius Jr., and the next move now belongs to the Brazilian. Following months of negotiations, Wednesday's meeting between the player's representatives, led by Frederico Pena, and club executives José Ángel Sánchez and Juni Calafat produced progress, although a final agreement has yet to be reached.

Neither side secured exactly what they wanted, but the discussions brought both parties closer to a compromise. Real Madrid's revised proposal reflects the club's determination to keep the winger, but club officials have also made it clear that the offer will not remain on the table indefinitely. They are now expecting a prompt response from Vinicius.

With the forward's current contract approaching its final year, the club is eager to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, Arsenal, led by Mikel Arteta, continue to monitor developments closely, believing they could have an opportunity if negotiations were to collapse.

Vinicius has already lowered his initial financial demands. After initially seeking a salary close to €30 million net per season, his expectations have reportedly dropped to around €20 million net, supplemented by performance-related bonuses. However, negotiations have also focused on a renewal bonus, similar to the signing bonus received by Kylian Mbappé, as well as an increased share of the player's image rights.

According to Cadena SER, Real Madrid's latest proposal is worth around €24 million net per season, an improvement on the club's previous offer but still below the player's original demands. Reports from Brazil also indicate that the contract includes several bonuses, leaving both sides optimistic that an agreement could be reached.

The proposed deal would extend Vinicius' contract until 2031, but after improving their offer, Real Madrid are now waiting for the Brazilian to make the final decision.
