Real Madrid have been crowned U-20 Intercontinental Cup champions for the first time in their history after defeating Santiago Wanderers 3-1 in the final at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Álvaro López’s side took the lead in the first half through Yáñez, who converted a direct free-kick shortly after Dubó was sent off. Santiago Wanderers responded early in the second half, with C. Silva restoring parity.
Real Madrid continued to push for the winner and regained the lead in the 81st minute when F. Santamaría made it 2-1. Roberto Martín then sealed the victory in stoppage time with the third goal, securing the trophy for the Madrid side.
The triumph adds another title to a remarkable 2026 for Real Madrid’s reserve team. Álvaro López’s side have now won the U-20 Intercontinental Cup, UEFA Youth League, the league title and the Champions Cup this year.
