The recent incident involving Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde has reportedly led Real Madrid to reconsider several internal decisions regarding the squad and the club’s structure.

According to reports from Marca, the disciplinary problems involving multiple players this season have also sparked concerns within the club about the lack of strong leadership inside the dressing room. As a result, Real Madrid are considering changes to the system used to appoint team captains.

At present, the captaincy is awarded based on seniority at the club. If Dani Carvajal leaves as expected, the next captains would likely be Valverde and Vinícius Júnior.

However, the report claims that some within the club are not fully convinced by that possibility. Alternative methods are therefore being discussed, including appointing captains through a squad vote or by direct decision of the coach.
