Real Madrid has officially defined the timeline for its presidential electoral process, which will begin with the submission of candidacies between May 14 and May 23, 2026.

During that period, all candidates interested in running for the presidency must formally present their candidacy while meeting the requirements established in the club’s Electoral Regulations. This stage represents the first major step in the process.

Once a candidacy is submitted, the Electoral Board will decide the following day whether to approve or reject it. The body is responsible for verifying that each application complies with the established rules and conditions.

Candidates who disagree with the decision will have two calendar days from the notification date to file an appeal.

The continuation of the process will depend on the number of approved candidates. If more than one candidacy is validated, elections will officially be held. In that scenario, the Electoral Board will announce the date and location of the vote.

The process also includes measures designed to guarantee member participation. Club members will be able to consult the electoral register between May 14 and May 18 to verify their voting rights.

In addition, if elections are ultimately held, members will also have the possibility to vote by mail under the conditions established by the club’s regulations.
