Jaime Pradilla is set to become a new Real Madrid basketball player after the club completed his signing from Valencia Basket.
The move comes just hours after Real Madrid announced the departure of head coach Sergio Scariolo. The club will activate the €1.5 million release clause that Pradilla agreed with Valencia Basket last February to secure the transfer of the 25-year-old, 2.02-meter power forward.
Real Madrid had been monitoring Pradilla for several months, and the Spanish international was reportedly one of Scariolo's priority targets after his return from EuroBasket.
Despite Scariolo's departure, the transfer has gone ahead, with new head coach Pedro Martínez reuniting with Pradilla after working together at Valencia Basket during an impressive season.
According to the report, Pradilla has agreed to a five-year contract with Real Madrid.
