Real Madrid City celebrates its 21st anniversary, marking more than two decades as a source of pride for Madridistas. The complex was inaugurated on September 30, 2005, during Florentino Pérez's presidency, and has continued to evolve while maintaining its status as one of the world's leading sports complexes.
“Real Madrid City will be a symbol of what this club has been and what it will be. Today this dream is realized. Today the groundwork begins to be laid where we will work every day to remain the most important club in history. It will be an essential part of our footballing strength in this new 21st century, and the destiny of Real Madrid will also be shaped by it,” Pérez said at the inauguration.
The first team trains at the complex every day, while the squad also stays at the residence during training camps. Since 2016, the basketball section has been fully integrated into Real Madrid City through its pavilion, which serves as the team's training facility and hosts matches and training sessions for the youth basketball teams.
The women's first team also trains and plays its home matches at Real Madrid City. The facilities, whose construction began on May 12, 2004, with the laying of the foundation stone, are also used for other events, including the General Assemblies of Representative Members.
The Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium is another key part of the complex. It serves as the home of Real Madrid's men's and women's youth teams, who train and play their matches there. The stadium, named in honor of the club's legendary player, also hosts Castilla matches, women's first-team games and Juvenil A fixtures in the UEFA Youth League.
