Real Madrid's frustrations continue to mount following their controversial match against Osasuna at El Sadar. The club is calling the events unprecedented and claims they add "more reasons and more arguments" to their concerns. This discontent surfaces just ahead of Monday's scheduled meeting with the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) to review the VAR audios and, additionally, discuss everything that unfolded in Pamplona.
Real Madrid is pointing to the fact that two penalties in back-to-back matches—first against Atlético and now Osasuna—were awarded in almost identical circumstances, with the ball being far from Lino in the derby and Budimir in the recent game. The club believes these incidents are not mere coincidences. This comes in the wake of a letter sent by the club, in which its leadership highlighted concerns about the current refereeing system.
At Valdebebas, there's a belief that these refereeing decisions fit into a larger pattern, with seven points lost along the way. The handling of the match by Munuera Montero is seen as further evidence of a problematic system that Real Madrid feels is operating with a predetermined objective.
The club is also planning to appeal Jude Bellingham’s red card, arguing that video evidence disproves the wording of the referee's report. Real Madrid will request that the red card be overturned, avoiding any punishment for their player.
All of these issues are likely to escalate tensions during the meeting with the CTA on Monday, with Real Madrid now determined to seek clarity and fair judgment on multiple fronts.
