Real Madrid defeated La Laguna Tenerife in their opening match of the 15th Costa del Sol Tournament in Marbella.
The game was played at a high tempo, with Real Madrid taking control during the first quarter. Tenerife responded strongly, however, turning the game around and taking a 53-49 lead into halftime.
Pedro Martínez’s side reacted after the break and regained the advantage, with Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot leading the way. The French forward finished with 26 points and a 27 efficiency rating to emerge as Real Madrid’s standout performer.
