Real Madrid secured a valuable 2-0 victory over Ajax in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the Women’s Champions League at Sportpark Toekomst in Amsterdam.
The Madrid side took control of the match from the opening stages and created several chances before Schröder broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute with a powerful free kick.
Ajax pushed for an equalizer after the break, but Real Madrid remained solid defensively. Levels then sealed the victory in the 73rd minute to give the Spanish side a two-goal advantage ahead of the second leg.
