Aurélien Tchouaméni has established himself as a cornerstone of Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid. Although the French midfielder was already important under Carlo Ancelotti, his performances back then drew mixed opinions, especially considering the hefty transfer fee Madrid paid in 2022. Over time, however, Tchouaméni has developed into one of the most reliable and consistent players in the squad.

Currently sidelined with an injury, the Frenchman is expected to return either in the Champions League clash against Olympiacos or in the La Liga fixture versus Girona, according to Cadena Cope. His current contract runs until 2028, giving the club ample time to plan for the future.

Despite the contract still having several years left, both Real Madrid and Tchouaméni are reportedly open to discussing a renewal. As revealed by journalist Alberto Pereiro, both parties share the same intention — to extend their collaboration for the long term.

Among the several matters Real Madrid must address in the coming months, Tchouaméni’s renewal appears to be one of the simplest. All indications suggest he will remain a central figure in white for many more seasons.
