Real Madrid has significant plans for Raúl Asencio following his remarkable debut for the first team last weekend, according to Marca.
Everything has shifted for the young defender since his standout performance against Osasuna. From now on, Asencio will be a regular fixture in the senior team, and his popularity has surged, with his Instagram followers doubling from 200,000 to 400,000.
The club has decided that Asencio will not return to Castilla, and there are also intentions to extend his current contract, which expires in 2026.
The 21-year-old is expected to be a starter in several matches until the season’s conclusion, though Carlo Ancelotti may also opt to pair Antonio Rüdiger with Aurélien Tchouaméni in defense.
