According to MARCA, Raúl Asencio rejected three significant offers to leave Real Madrid during the summer and chose to remain at the club. One of the offers reportedly came from Chelsea, where he would have reunited with Xabi Alonso. Another was from Liverpool, where he would have worked under Spanish manager Andoni Iraola. The third offer came from Turkey.
Ultimately, Asencio decided to stay and fight for a starting position at Real Madrid. The defender has reportedly remained committed to the club despite the arrival of Ibrahima Konaté, who is currently sidelined with an injury.
According to MARCA, Asencio could now have opportunities in the coming matches due to injuries to Konaté and Éder Militão, as well as Dean Huijsen's suspension following his red card against Atlético Madrid.
