FIFA has confirmed that Ramon Abatti, a 35-year-old Brazilian referee, will take charge of Real Madrid’s second Club World Cup match against Pachuca this Sunday.
Abatti, who already officiated Manchester City’s 2-0 win over Moroccan side Wydad in the tournament’s first round, returns to the spotlight for another key fixture. The Brazilian official oversaw the Paris 2024 Olympic final between Spain and France last summer, a dramatic encounter that ended 5-3 after extra time.
Joining Abatti at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte will be compatriots Danilo Manis and Rafael Alves as assistant referees, while Norwegian Espen Eskas will serve as the fourth official.
