Rafael Nadal has publicly denied rumors linking him to the upcoming presidential elections at Real Madrid. Through social media, the Mallorcan tennis legend clarified that reports connecting him to different candidacies are false.
Nadal, who is widely known for his support of Real Madrid, wanted to quickly put an end to speculation surrounding a possible role in the club’s electoral process.
The rumors emerged shortly after Florentino Pérez officially announced the club’s presidential elections during a press conference. Pérez stated that any club member who meets the required conditions is eligible to run, opening the door to potential new candidates.
Following the announcement, several names began circulating in connection with possible candidacies, including Nadal’s. However, the former world number one has now ruled out any involvement with a direct and clear message on social media.
At present, one of the figures most strongly linked with a possible candidacy is Enrique Riquelme, who is reportedly seriously considering entering the race.
