Rachad Fettal has received medical clearance and is set to become Castilla’s main reinforcement as they resume competitive action. Álvaro Arbeloa’s side returns to training on Monday, with the striker fully available to rejoin the squad dynamics.

If no setbacks occur, Fettal is expected to be included in the squad for Castilla’s clash against Arenteiro next Sunday, January 4.

The forward once again represents Arbeloa’s most important “signing.” He already held that status in the summer and will do so again in January after spending four months on the sidelines. Fettal featured only in the opening league match before suffering an injury that ruled him out for a prolonged period.

Arbeloa has been without a natural starting striker during his absence, and the coach sees Fettal as a crucial piece for the second half of the season, as Castilla aim to strengthen their position in the promotion playoff spots.
