Before kickoff in the Club World Cup match between Real Madrid and Pachuca, cameras caught a heartwarming and humorous moment during warm-ups.
As the Real Madrid squad took to the field, fans at the Bank of America Stadium began applauding. However, the cheers for veteran midfielder Luka Modric didn’t quite meet Antonio Rüdiger’s expectations.
Noticing the applause was too subdued for a player of Modric’s stature, Rüdiger immediately sprang into action. The German center-back began clapping energetically and gesturing to the crowd to turn up the volume in recognition of the Croatian legend.
The moment quickly went viral, showcasing both Rüdiger’s charisma and the deep respect Modric commands within the squad.
That’s one way to honor a legend and to hype up the crowd.
