Pedro Porro discussed his future during an appearance on Cadena SER's El Larguero, where he was asked directly about reports linking him with Barcelona and Real Madrid. The Tottenham right-back did not rule out joining either club but stressed that he has received no concrete offer and remains fully focused on his current team.
The Spanish international denied any formal interest from the two LaLiga giants, although he admitted that other clubs had made enquiries about his situation.
"I finalized my contract renewal before the World Cup to be at ease during the tournament. There were rumors, but I was focused on doing well for my country. If there's real interest, they call you directly, and that didn't happen. Some clubs asked about my situation, but there was no real interest," he explained to Cadena SER.
Porro also refused to choose between Real Madrid and Barcelona when asked which club would suit his playing style better. Instead, he insisted that he could adapt to different systems and proposals.
"I don't know, I'll let people have their opinions. I consider myself a player who can adapt to anything," he stated.
However, the defender made no secret of his desire to return to Spanish football in the future.
"It's my country and I like the league. Right now it would be very unfair to talk about anything other than my club because I have a contract, but obviously I would love to return to Spain," he added.
