Real Madrid coach Pedro Martínez has addressed the possibility of bringing back power forward Eli John Ndiaye, who is currently on loan at Joventut Badalona, amid the club's search for potential reinforcements following a series of injuries.

Speaking after Real Madrid's league victory over Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos, Martínez explained that recruitment decisions are handled by other people at the club and stressed that finding suitable players is not straightforward.

"It's not something that's my responsibility; there are other people at the club who are constantly monitoring and working on it. Secondly, this isn't about going to the market and saying, 'Look, here's what we need,' as if it's just waiting for us to go and grab it. It doesn't work like that, and right now it's not so easy. It's easier said than done. We're analyzing what we can do, and obviously, we have some of our players out on loan in the league," he said.

The coach then addressed Ndiaye's situation more directly, admitting that Real Madrid would like to explore the possibility of bringing him back but that no decision is guaranteed.

"We'd like to explore the possibility of bringing him back, but it's not something that's guaranteed to happen, nor is it within my control. He's a lad who did preseason with us, he's one of our own, and in fact, he's still our player, although he's currently under contract with another team, and I don't know if it will be possible. Obviously, we'd like to bring him back. If it can't happen, we won't be disappointed. If it can't happen, we'll make do with what we have and try to be as competitive as possible," he said.
