José Mourinho has completely transformed Valdebebas, with Real Madrid showing significant signs of improvement after two seasons in which things failed to go according to plan. The team's performances on the pitch are on the rise, largely thanks to the foundations laid by the Portuguese manager and his coaching staff. Mourinho returned to the club fully aware of its internal problems, including a tense dressing-room atmosphere and insufficient effort from the players.

One of the clearest signs of the team's previous struggles was the excessive number of injuries in recent seasons. Mourinho identified this as an area requiring improvement and has already made significant progress. The Portuguese coach has even expressed pride in "having had no injuries" throughout October, something that had not happened for some time. This improvement is no coincidence but the result of meticulous planning.

According to journalist Jorge Picón, five key factors have contributed to the players' improved physical condition. First, greater emphasis has been placed on post-match recovery, recognizing the importance of helping players recover after matches. Training sessions have also been individualized, with specific plans tailored to each footballer. In addition, the structure of training has changed, with a stronger focus on physical conditioning.

Mourinho has also introduced a policy requiring players to complete their recovery sessions at Valdebebas. Finally, the squad's commitment has played a crucial role in this transformation. Antonio Dias, the team's fitness coach, has also been instrumental, with his work earning considerable recognition at Real Madrid.
