According to journalist José Luis Sánchez, Kylian Mbappé will travel with Real Madrid for the Spanish Super Cup, despite the injury setback he recently suffered in training.

The French forward sustained a knee issue that initially cast serious doubt over his availability for the semi-final, with early medical assessments suggesting a potential absence of around ten days. However, Mbappé is now expected to be included in the traveling squad.

That said, the chances of him featuring against Atlético Madrid remain slim. Real Madrid’s medical staff are proceeding with extreme caution and have no intention of taking risks with the 27-year-old forward.

Xabi Alonso values Mbappé’s presence within the group and wants him involved around the squad, even if his role is limited to off the pitch. A definitive decision regarding his match involvement will be made based on how his recovery progresses in the days leading up to the clash.
