After the break, Xabi Alonso’s men pushed forward, hitting the woodwork for the second time before the match took another twist. Dani Carvajal was shown a red card in the 71st minute, leaving Madrid with ten men.
Despite the adversity, the team responded with character. Mbappé stepped up once again from the penalty spot in the 81st minute to seal a 2-1 win. The Frenchman’s brace not only turned the game around but also marked his 50th goal for Real Madrid, helping extend their perfect winning streak to five consecutive victories across all competitions this season.
