Kylian Mbappé has become the all-time leading goalscorer in FIFA World Cup history after scoring twice against England in the third-place playoff.

The Real Madrid forward now has 22 goals in 22 World Cup appearances, moving past Lionel Messi's previous record of 21 goals.

Mbappé also leads the scoring charts at the 2026 World Cup with 10 goals, two more than Argentina's Lionel Messi.

His World Cup goals have come across three tournaments:

• 2018 (Russia): 4 goals

• 2022 (Qatar): 8 goals

• 2026 (Canada, USA & Mexico): 10 goals

The French star continues to add to his remarkable international legacy, setting a new benchmark in World Cup history.
