Real Madrid’s difficult season continues to spark reactions across the football world. This time, it was Mario Alberto Kempes, a legendary figure in Argentine football, who shared his thoughts on one of the club’s summer signings.
Kempes spoke about the performances of his compatriot Franco Mastantuono, highlighting the challenges the young midfielder faces at the club. “It’s not easy, because at Real Madrid you have to win even in training,” Kempes said. “But he needs to be more daring, more courageous.”
The former Valencia striker added that Real Madrid signed Mastantuono from River Plate for qualities he is not yet showing on the pitch. He even drew a comparison with Lamine Yamal, encouraging the youngster to be more assertive in his play. “He has to shoot from distance and take on defenders, like Lamine Yamal does,” Kempes suggested.
