Mario Hezonja has reportedly informed Real Madrid of his decision to leave the club this summer and return to the NBA.
According to journalist Chema de Lucas, the Croatian forward has decided to resume his career in the United States after four successful seasons with Real Madrid.
Hezonja previously played in the NBA between 2015 and 2020, representing the Orlando Magic, New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers before returning to European basketball.
Since joining Real Madrid in 2022, the 31-year-old has enjoyed a highly successful spell, helping the club win one EuroLeague title, two Liga Endesa championships, one Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups.
His departure would mark the end of a trophy-filled chapter in Madrid, while opening the door to a new challenge back in the NBA.
