Maledon stole the spotlight in Real Madrid’s EuroLeague Round 17 clash against Paris Basketball at the Movistar Arena. In addition to leading the scoring in the 95–90 win with 21 points, the French guard etched his name into competition history by scoring the one millionth point in the EuroLeague, now in its 25th season.
The historic moment came with 43 seconds remaining in the first quarter. With Paris leading 19–21, Maledon knocked down a three-pointer that not only put Real Madrid ahead but also marked a milestone that will be remembered in European basketball history.
Exactly 25 years earlier, on October 16, 2000, Dino Ra?a had scored the very first basket in EuroLeague history during the opening game between Olympiacos and Real Madrid, completing a symbolic full circle for the competition.
