According to MARCA, Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has been released from international duty with Ukraine after suffering a lower back problem.
The issue appeared during the warm-up ahead of Los Blancos’ clash with Mallorca last Saturday at the Santiago Bernabéu.
As a result, Lunin will be unavailable for Ukraine’s upcoming World Cup 2026 qualifiers against France on September 5 and Azerbaijan on September 9.
His early return to Valdebebas adds to the unusually large group of Real Madrid players currently training at the club, while many of their teammates are away on international duty.
