After 13 unforgettable years at the Santiago Bernabéu, Luka Modric is leaving Real Madrid. The Croatian icon shared an emotional farewell on Instagram, posting a photo of himself with his jersey draped over his shoulder and a simple, touching caption: “My home for 13 years. My forever home. This is not a goodbye, this is a see you later.”
Modric leaves behind a remarkable legacy, having been a cornerstone of one of the most successful eras in Real Madrid's history, marked by Champions League titles, LaLiga triumphs, and a Ballon d’Or in 2018.
According to reports, Modric is set to continue his career in Serie A, with AC Milan expected to be his next destination. The Italian giants are eager to add his experience, leadership, and enduring class to their midfield as they aim to compete for trophies again.
While his departure marks the end of a golden chapter, Luka’s farewell suggests this is not the final page in his story with the club he calls home.
