According to OkDiario, Real Madrid are aware of Liverpool’s asking price for Trent Alexander-Arnold, set at £40 million, for a potential transfer in the winter market. However, the Spanish club has no intention of paying that amount for a player who will be available for free in June and is holding firm on its decision not to sign in January unless an exceptional opportunity presents itself.

Dani Carvajal’s injury has complicated Real Madrid’s plans at right-back, and while Alexander-Arnold is the preferred replacement, his contract situation—set to expire at the end of the season—means the club is not considering a mid-season move unless Liverpool significantly lowers their price.

OkDiario reports that Liverpool are still trying to extend Alexander-Arnold's contract, despite him rejecting three offers. While his current value is lower than his market worth, the English international will be free to negotiate with other clubs from January, with Real Madrid in a strong position to sign him without a transfer fee at the end of the season.
