Aurélien Tchouaméni was one of the players whose future was uncertain during the summer transfer window. Real Madrid needed to sell a midfielder, and while Camavinga was considered the most likely departure, the club also explored the possibility of selling the number 14 to raise funds for another signing.
However, Tchouaméni ultimately remained at the club, despite strong interest from Manchester United. The midfielder was unwilling to leave Real Madrid and opted to continue in Madrid.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool sporting director Julian Ward is a big admirer of Tchouaméni and would like to make a move for the Frenchman in the upcoming transfer window. The midfielder could therefore become one of the English club's main targets, although there is currently no concrete information regarding Liverpool's interest.
The reported interest comes as Julian Ward has regained a leading role in Iraola's team's operations.
