Real Madrid fell short in EuroLeague Round 35 after a narrow defeat away to Baskonia, losing in the final seconds of a tightly contested game.
Sergio Scariolo’s side managed to overturn an 11-point deficit before halftime and held the lead deep into the final minute. However, the game slipped away when Khyri Thomas Simmons converted two decisive free throws with just 1.9 seconds remaining.
Facundo Campazzo was the standout performer for Madrid, delivering 21 points and a performance rating of 30 in a strong individual display.
Despite the setback, Real Madrid remain in control of their position in the race for home-court advantage in the EuroLeague playoffs, with three regular-season games still to be played.
