Toni Kroos reacted on social media after Carlo Ancelotti recalled a past dressing room moment during his appearance on Universo Valdano.

The Italian coach compared a previous episode involving the German midfielder to a recent situation between Vinícius and Xabi Alonso. Ancelotti revealed that on one occasion he substituted Kroos and received an angry look in return.

“Once I brought Kroos off and he got angry, gave me a dirty look, and I didn’t say anything,” Ancelotti explained. “I didn’t call him the next day. We met before going out onto the pitch and I asked him if we needed to talk about what happened. He said: ‘That’s it.’”

Kroos quickly responded online, making it clear there were never any issues between them. He began his message by calling Ancelotti “The best,” reaffirming their strong relationship.

However, true to his dry sense of humor, the German couldn’t resist adding a playful jab. Referring to the substitution, he joked that “the change was still a mistake,” accompanied by a laughing emoji.

The exchange once again highlighted the mutual respect and relaxed dynamic between player and coach during their successful years together at Real Madrid.
