Judge Alejandra Gil Llima has rejected Real Madrid’s request in the framework of the ongoing investigation into the Negreira case. The club had asked to access all audits, due diligence processes, and forensic reports carried out by external consultants on FC Barcelona’s financial management between 2003 and 2021. The ruling favors Barcelona’s former president, Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Through his legal representative, Bartomeu opposed the request, refusing to provide any additional documentation. His defense argued that Real Madrid’s intention was solely to obtain private documents belonging to the Catalan club and gain access to confidential and privileged information.

In her order, the judge stated that the investigative measures requested by Real Madrid’s lawyer, Antonio Molina, in submissions dated December 22, 2025, and September 26, 2025, are denied. The only exception is the testimony of Carles Naval Biosca, which has been accepted and scheduled for April 10, 2026, at 9:45 a.m. Real Madrid has been given two days to provide the witness’s address so that he can be formally summoned.

On the same day, April 10, 2026, at 10:45 a.m., FC Barcelona will appear for questioning as a party under investigation. This session was initially scheduled for an earlier date but had to be postponed due to a scheduling conflict. The ruling may be appealed within three days.

Regarding Naval’s testimony, the judge clarified that it has been admitted because it could be relevant in clarifying the destination, use, and purpose of the reports commissioned and paid for by FC Barcelona. Naval is expected to explain how the invoices for these reports were approved, as well as the nature of the services provided, given his alleged involvement in the approval process over several years.
