JJ Gabriel's move to Real Madrid is practically a done deal. Several sources have confirmed that an agreement between the player and the club has been reached, with only the completion of the necessary formalities and his departure from Manchester United remaining. According to the current timeline, the 16-year-old forward could join Madrid as early as January.

Despite competition from other clubs, Real Madrid have always been in pole position to secure the youngster's signature, partly thanks to the influence of Jude Bellingham.

According to British outlet TEAMtalk, the England international has been in contact with Gabriel, encouraging him to join Real Madrid and giving him a positive impression of the club. Bellingham highlighted the importance of playing at the Santiago Bernabéu and the opportunities Madrid offer to young players.

The midfielder's entourage has also reinforced those arguments in conversations with people close to Gabriel. These factors have reportedly helped convince the teenager to choose Real Madrid.

TEAMtalk adds that Gabriel has been particularly impressed by the club's sporting project. Real Madrid have made it clear that their plan is for his development in the youth ranks to eventually lead to promotion to the first team. The forward was so impressed by that prospect that financial considerations became less important. Although the competing offers were similar in terms of salary, he viewed Real Madrid as his ideal destination.
