Jude Bellingham’s injury diagnosis has been confirmed. Real Madrid announced that the English midfielder will be sidelined for approximately one month after suffering a semitendinosus muscle injury in his left leg.

Bellingham picked up the injury during the 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano. In the ninth minute, he made a run toward the byline when he suddenly felt discomfort in his hamstring.

The midfielder immediately grabbed the back of his left leg and went down, raising immediate concern. He was substituted shortly after by Brahim Díaz. Although visibly shaken, Bellingham was able to leave the pitch under his own power, covering his chest with his shirt.

This represents Bellingham’s second setback of the season. Following the Club World Cup, he underwent surgery on a shoulder injury that caused him to miss the start of the campaign. Based on current forecasts, the injury will also rule him out of Real Madrid’s Champions League round of 32 tie against Benfica.
