According to Mundo Deportivo, Panathinaikos forward Juancho Hernangómez has emerged as a potential target for Real Madrid as the club continues to reshape its roster for next season.
Real Madrid remain focused on strengthening their squad, with the search for a reliable power forward among their priorities. Another name linked with the club in recent weeks is Jaime Pradilla, currently playing for Valencia Basket.
The 30-year-old Hernangómez could leave Panathinaikos this summer and return to Spain, with Real Madrid among the possible destinations. The Greek club would reportedly not stand in the way of his departure.
Panathinaikos, like Real Madrid, have not had a strong season and are expected to make several changes in order to compete at the highest level again in the EuroLeague.
A potential move would also fit Real Madrid’s need to strengthen their domestic player quota, with Hernangómez’s Spanish status considered an added advantage. The forward brings significant experience, having spent several years in the NBA as well as three seasons with Panathinaikos, a profile that would add depth and leadership to the Madrid dressing room.
