Antonio Romero shared his thoughts on the rise of Thiago Pitarch during a discussion on the program El Larguero on Cadena SER.

The journalist highlighted the impact the young midfielder has made in recent weeks with Real Madrid, especially during the second half of the season.

Romero was particularly impressed by Pitarch’s performance against Manchester City in the Champions League. According to him, what the youngster did in such a high level match was “incredibly impressive.”

At the same time, he acknowledged that the midfielder’s place in the lineup could become more complicated once the squad is fully fit again. Even so, Romero expressed confidence that Pitarch will continue to receive significant playing time.

“I’m convinced Pitarch is going to play a lot between now and the end of the season,” the journalist stated.

He also made a remark that sparked debate, suggesting that the reaction might be very different if the player had emerged from another academy. Romero argued that if Pitarch were a youth product of Barcelona instead of a Real Madrid academy graduate, the praise surrounding his performance would likely be much greater.
