JJ Gabriel, one of the most highly regarded young talents in European football at just 16, is reportedly close to joining Real Madrid.
The English prodigy is already training in the Spanish capital while awaiting the finalisation of his move to the club. According to Ben Fernandes Santos, the coming days will be crucial in completing the deal and securing the signature of one of Europe's most promising young players.
Barcelona had also made enquiries and expressed interest in the youngster, but have now withdrawn from the race. Gabriel, meanwhile, is convinced that Real Madrid is where he wants to continue his career.
Having recently turned 16, the forward asked to leave Manchester United, where he had broken numerous records for his age. His achievements also extend beyond the pitch: at just 14, he signed a Nike deal reportedly worth more than Neymar's contract at the same age.
Gabriel was presented alongside Cristiano Ronaldo's son when he arrived at Old Trafford. Now, he appears to have made his choice, with a move to Real Madrid bringing him closer to fulfilling his dream.
