Enrique Riquelme has confirmed in a letter sent to Real Madrid members that Iker Casillas will take on a senior management role within his presidential campaign project.
The former goalkeeper joins a structure that already includes Raúl González Blanco as sporting director and Fernando Hierro as head of La Fábrica, forming what the candidate describes as his “trio of captains” for key decision-making positions at the club.
According to the letter, Casillas’ arrival is intended to strengthen the sporting and institutional leadership model proposed by Riquelme ahead of the elections.
The inclusion of three former club legends in prominent roles is being presented as a central pillar of his sporting project, aimed at reinforcing identity and experience within Real Madrid’s internal structure.
