The RFEF has confirmed that Dean Huijsen has been released from the Spanish national team and will return to Madrid after experiencing muscle discomfort that already sidelined him from Saturday’s match against Georgia. As a result, the Real Madrid center-back will also miss Tuesday’s fixture against Turkey at La Cartuja.
In its official statement, the RFEF closed with a message that De la Fuente has repeatedly emphasized in recent days: “As always, and with the player’s health and well-being as the top priority, the Royal Spanish Football Federation has decided to release the player.”
