Dean Huijsen has been officially unveiled as a new Real Madrid player. After the presentation, the young center-back gave his first press conference as a Madridista, showing calmness and confidence both on and off the pitch.
One of the most notable details was the choice of his jersey number. Huijsen will wear the number 24, a shirt number he has never worn at any of his previous clubs. When asked about the choice, the Spanish-Dutch defender gave a straightforward answer: “I chose number 24 because it was what was available, and I’m very happy to have it.”
He also addressed rumors of interest from other clubs, reaffirming his loyalty to his new team: “For me, Real Madrid is the best club in the world. There’s no other team like it.”
