For the second season in a row, Real Madrid has fallen short of fan expectations. As a result, Florentino Pérez is already planning the squad for next season, aiming to reignite excitement with one of the best players in world football.

According to Sky Sport, the Real Madrid board is exploring the possibility of signing Erling Haaland next summer. The club president reportedly dreams of bringing the Norwegian striker to Madrid, seeing him as the key figure to restore the team’s European dominance. It’s also said that Haaland considers Real Madrid the ultimate destination of his career and is open to the idea of living in Spain.

Following the high-profile signing of Kylian Mbappé in the summer of 2024, Pérez envisions forming a dream attacking partnership with the French forward and Haaland. With Vinícius Junior’s future still uncertain, Haaland’s arrival would serve as a perfect replacement, guaranteeing a tremendous goal-scoring output. Together with Mbappé, the duo could easily combine for around 60 goals, while also generating massive media attention due to Haaland’s global appeal from his Dortmund and Manchester City days.

However, the plan faces a significant hurdle: Manchester City has no intention of selling their star striker, and the transfer fee would almost certainly exceed €100 million.
