Gonzalo García opened the scoring in Real Madrid’s emphatic win over Real Sociedad at the Bernabéu Stadium and reflected on a dominant night for Los Blancos.
“It was a very positive match overall for the whole team, with a resounding result, and we certainly deserved the three points. We knew Real Sociedad were on a very good run, unbeaten in their last nine matches. It was going to be difficult and things wouldn’t be easy. We started with our foot on the gas from the beginning, not wanting to slow down, trying to score as many goals as possible and secure the win.”
The academy graduate also assessed his personal performance: “I scored a goal, they cleared one off the line, but I also missed a very clear chance. I didn’t score today, but I’ll save them for next time. I’m very happy and I hope to score many more goals in this shirt.”
Gonzalo also praised Trent Alexander-Arnold for the assist: “We all know that Trent is a player with tremendous quality who always helps the team. The pass he gave me was very difficult to miss.”
Looking ahead, the striker emphasized the squad’s mindset: “With the same enthusiasm as always. We know how important every match is. This badge demands the best from us, and we’re going to approach each game with desire, ambition, and the determination to win them all.”
