Florentino Pérez has followed through on the commitment he made during his interview with TVE on Thursday regarding the Negreira case.
“At the Champions League final, I will tell Ceferin that I am going to give him a dossier on the Negreira case,” he said at the time.
On Friday night, the Real Madrid president attended Castilla’s first-leg promotion playoff match at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium. A few hours later, he travelled to Budapest, where he was present in the VIP area of the Puskás Aréna on Saturday and held a meeting with UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin.
The conversation reportedly served as a notification of what UEFA will soon receive: a dossier on the Negreira case consisting of around 500 pages and compiled over the course of three years.
Pérez had already hinted at the existence of the document during the press conference held on May 12, when he announced the upcoming elections scheduled for next week.
Although the case remains in the preliminary investigation stage, the Real Madrid president has now taken another step by formally informing Ceferin about the dossier.
With the meeting in Budapest, Pérez fulfilled his promise and brought the Negreira case to UEFA's attention.
